Ablepreneurs® - Ethical AI & Responsible Use Policy
Last updated: 30 October 2026
Our Commitment - At Ablepreneurs®, we believe technology should create opportunities, remove barriers and help people work and build businesses in ways that suit their individual needs.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be a valuable tool for accessibility, productivity, creativity, learning and business development.
We support the responsible use of AI where it helps people achieve more without compromising their independence, dignity, privacy or personal choice.
As a community built for disabled, chronically ill and neurodivergent entrepreneurs and professionals, we recognise that technology should adapt to people, rather than expecting people to adapt to technology.
Our approach is simple: AI should support people, not replace them.
1. Purpose of This Policy
This policy explains how Ablepreneurs Ltd uses AI responsibly within its business operations, educational activities, communications and community.
It outlines our commitments to:
Transparency and honesty.
Privacy and data protection.
Accessibility and inclusion.
Fairness and respect.
Human oversight and accountability.
Responsible content creation.
Supporting members' independence and choice.
This policy applies to AI tools used by Ablepreneurs, including tools that support content creation, research, administration, accessibility, and education.
It also sets out reasonable expectations for members, Trusted Partners, speakers and contributors when using AI in connection with our community.
2. How Ablepreneurs Uses AI
We may use AI-assisted tools to support:
Drafting and editing educational content, articles, newsletters and social media communications.
Research, planning and the development of learning resources.
Creating graphics, illustrations and other visual content.
Improving written communication, clarity and accessibility.
Captions, transcription and accessibility features in approved meeting platforms.
Administrative tasks, workflows and operational efficiency.
Developing business tools, templates and learning materials.
AI helps us work more efficiently and make information more accessible.
However, we remain responsible for the content we publish, the services we provide and the decisions we make.
We do not treat AI-generated information as automatically accurate, appropriate or suitable for every individual.
3. Transparency and Honesty
We believe people should understand when AI has played a meaningful role in the content or experiences we provide.
Where AI is used substantially to create content, imagery, educational materials or other resources, we will provide appropriate disclosure where necessary to avoid misleading people.
Routine assistance with spelling, grammar, formatting or editing does not normally require a separate disclosure.
We will not knowingly present fictional AI-generated individuals, testimonials, case studies or experiences as genuine people or real events.
We will not fabricate member success stories, professional qualifications, endorsements or lived experiences using AI.
Where examples are fictional or illustrative, we will make that clear when necessary.
Trust matters more than producing content quickly.
4. Privacy and Personal Information
Ablepreneurs respects the privacy and confidentiality of its members, customers, speakers and partners.
We do not require members to disclose medical diagnoses, health histories or disability evidence to participate in our community or access our services.
Members may voluntarily share personal experiences, but such disclosures are not required.
We do not enter identifiable member information, personal health or disability details, private messages or confidential community conversations into external generative AI tools for general content creation.
Where AI is used for research, planning or educational examples, we may use appropriately anonymised information where individuals cannot reasonably be identified.
We do not use AI to create medical profiles, assess disability status or make assumptions about someone's capabilities.
Where approved AI-enabled service providers process personal information, including through accessibility or transcription features, we assess relevant privacy and security arrangements and apply appropriate safeguards.
Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Notice and applicable UK data protection legislation.
5. Accessibility and Inclusion
We recognise that AI can provide meaningful accessibility benefits for disabled, chronically ill and neurodivergent people.
These may include:
Captions and transcription.
Simplifying complex information.
Alternative ways to access written content.
Assistance with planning, organisation and communication.
Supporting different learning and working preferences.
Reducing unnecessary administrative demands.
We aim to use technology in ways that increase participation rather than create additional barriers.
Where reasonably practical, we will provide alternative ways to access important information or participate in activities when AI-enabled features are unsuitable or inaccessible.
We do not assume that one tool, format or approach will meet everyone's needs.
Accessibility is about choice, flexibility and meaningful participation.
6. Human Oversight and Accountability
AI may support our work, but people remain responsible for decisions.
Ablepreneurs does not use generative AI independently to make significant decisions about:
Membership eligibility or access.
Community participation or removal.
Access to learning or business opportunities.
Complaints or disputes.
Other matters that may materially affect individuals.
We apply appropriate human review to AI-assisted work and decisions.
Where AI contributes to research, educational content or professional information, we use reasonable judgement to assess its accuracy and suitability before publication or use.
We acknowledge that AI tools can produce inaccurate, incomplete, biased or misleading information.
Members and customers should not rely on AI-generated educational content as a substitute for advice from an appropriately qualified professional where specialist advice is needed.
7. Fairness, Respect and Representation
We are committed to using AI in ways that respect people's dignity, individuality and lived experiences.
We will not knowingly use AI to:
Promote discriminatory or degrading representations of disabled, chronically ill or neurodivergent people.
Fabricate personal experiences or testimonials.
Impersonate members, speakers, partners or other individuals.
Create misleading representations of someone's identity, achievements or professional expertise.
Make unsupported assumptions about people's health, abilities or circumstances.
Where we use AI-generated imagery or illustrative content, we aim to represent people respectfully and authentically.
We recognise that AI systems can reflect bias and stereotypes. We will take reasonable steps to identify and address these issues in our published materials and activities.
8. AI Use Within Our Community
We recognise that AI can be a valuable business and accessibility tool for members.
Members are welcome to use AI to support their own learning, communication, productivity, creativity and business activities.
However, members, Trusted Partners and contributors must respect the privacy, confidentiality and intellectual property rights of others.
They must not:
Upload another member's confidential information, private messages or identifiable sensitive information into external AI tools without appropriate authorisation and a lawful basis.
Use AI to impersonate another member, speaker or professional.
Fabricate testimonials, qualifications, endorsements or lived experiences.
Create or distribute AI-generated material intended to harass, discriminate against, deceive or exploit others.
Present AI-generated content as another person's genuine contribution without permission.
Members remain responsible for their independent use of AI tools and must comply with our Terms & Conditions and Community Code.
We do not require members to disclose every occasion on which they use AI for ordinary business or accessibility support.
9. AI in Events, Recordings and Educational Activities
Ablepreneurs uses Zoom and Google Meet to deliver online activities.
We do not routinely record networking sessions, body doubling sessions, informal community discussions or breakout rooms.
We may record Business Development Talks (BDTs) and masterclasses for educational replay purposes.
Where we use AI-assisted captions, transcription, or summarisation features, we will explain the relevant arrangements to participants.
We will take reasonable steps to protect confidential conversations and personal information.
We do not upload identifiable member recordings or sensitive discussions into external generative AI tools for general content creation.
Any approved AI-enabled features that process personal information must be used with appropriate privacy and security safeguards.
Further information about recordings and personal information is provided in our Privacy Notice.
10. Intellectual Property and Originality
We respect intellectual property rights and expect members, partners and contributors to do the same.
AI-assisted content must not knowingly infringe another person's copyright, trademarks or other protected rights.
We will not deliberately present another person's original work as our own.
Where AI supports the creation of educational materials, business resources or other content, we remain responsible for reviewing the output before publication.
Members and contributors are responsible for ensuring they have appropriate rights and permissions for material they create, upload or share.
Our Terms & Conditions govern ownership and permitted use of Ablepreneurs' materials and member contributions.
11. Choosing and Reviewing AI Tools
Before adopting AI tools for business activities, we consider their suitability, reliability, privacy arrangements and potential risks.
Where appropriate, we consider:
The purpose of the tool.
Whether personal information will be processed.
Privacy and security arrangements.
Accessibility and usability.
Potential bias or inaccurate outputs.
The level of human oversight required.
Whether the tool provides meaningful benefits.
We aim to avoid collecting or sharing personal information unnecessarily.
We may discontinue or change tools where we identify unacceptable risks or where a more suitable approach becomes available.
12. Concerns, Feedback and Accountability
We welcome feedback about our use of AI, including concerns about accuracy, accessibility, privacy, fairness or representation.
If you believe AI-assisted content or activities have caused a problem, please contact us.
We will review concerns reasonably and take appropriate action where necessary.
This may include correcting content, removing material, reviewing a tool or changing an internal process.
Concerns relating to personal information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Notice and applicable data protection law.
13. Policy Review and Updates
AI technology, legal requirements and good practice continue to develop.
We will review this policy at least annually and sooner where significant changes to our tools, services or legal obligations make a review necessary.
We may update the policy to reflect changes in technology, business operations, accessibility requirements or relevant law.
We will publish the latest version on our website with an updated date.

Our guiding principle
Your skills. Your pace. Your community.
We believe responsible technology should help people build sustainable businesses, access opportunities and participate on their own terms.
AI is one tool that can help make that possible, but people, inclusion and genuine human connection will always come first.
